The ability to hold a spoon or crayon and exercising control over the tripod grip comes from the enhancement of fine motor skills. Activities and games such as picking, sorting, free-hand drawing, paper crushing, etc. involving the use of small muscles, develop the ability to advance fine motor skills.
From catching and kicking a ball to yoga and exercise indoors, children are given the freedom and space to explore their physical abilities to the fullest, developing balance, control over their limbs and independence in movement. This in turn helps build self-confidence, strength and encourages muscle development and growth.
Expressing wants & needs, building conversations, being sensitive to the emotions of peers, forming friendships and playing with others are all signs of PSE skill development. The Nursery program at FirstCry Intellitots provides varied experiences to stimulate confidence, compassion and collaboration among children, coupled with experiences and interactions to support constructive learning.
The ability to think, reason, question and imagine comes from cognitive development. Activities such as pairing, classifying by size, shape, colour, asking probing questions and engaging in conversation are encouraged as they are most essential during the early stages of life, and help in developing critical thinking and problem solving skills.
