Dear Parents,
We are back with some exciting updates from the month of August! Our Intellitots have been engaged in fun and valuable activities all month. It’s a pleasure to see them connect, interact and learn with each other enthusiastically during our online sessions!
At Intellitots, we actively celebrate all the International and National events so that our children better understand our culture and are introduced to different religions and traditions early on. The month was full of such events as we celebrated Friendship Day, Independence Day, Onam, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, and World Photography Day.
Here is a glimpse into the exciting events our tots enjoyed!
Friendship Day
Friendship Day was celebrated virtually with our energetic tots. It was a rainy day, but our tots’ sunshine smiles brightened it up! The little ones had lots of fun as they identified their best friends and tied friendship bands to each other. We saw some blooming friendships that would last a lifetime!
Independence Day
We had a vibrant Independence Day celebration with our chirpy little tots and their enthusiastic parents. Children dressed up as freedom fighters and showed their love and admiration for the country. They exhibited their patriotism by singing patriotic songs and paid tribute to our freedom fighters by saying popular freedom chants. The kids, the future of our nation, also learned about the national flag, national leaders, and national symbols. They also made the national flag and national symbols creatively with their own hands. In a nutshell, it was a colourful and patriotic day!
Raksha Bandhan
On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, our lovely little girls tied rakhi bands embellished with their love and affection, to their brothers. The festival of Raksha Bandhan marks a special bond between siblings. As the tradition goes, sisters tie rakhis around their brothers’ wrists, while the brothers promise to protect them forever. It was a real moment of pride as our tots made rakhis on their own for their adorable brothers. And as with most celebrations, our tots experienced the remarkable joy of receiving and giving gifts!
Janmashtami
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. We had a lot of fun-filled activities on this occasion! Our tots spent time painting clay pots, making flutes out of paper, and crowns with felt feathers. They also dressed up as Krishna and Radha and participated along with their Yashoda ma. It was a divine day with our little Krishnas and Gopikas! Additionally, the tots and educators discussed the importance of the festival. Our tots learned a little more about Krishna through fascinating stories, and sang and danced to melodic songs about Janmashtami.
