Dear Parents,

We are back with some exciting updates from the month of August! Our Intellitots have been engaged in fun and valuable activities all month. It’s a pleasure to see them connect, interact and learn with each other enthusiastically during our online sessions!

At Intellitots, we actively celebrate all the International and National events so that our children better understand our culture and are introduced to different religions and traditions early on. The month was full of such events as we celebrated Friendship Day, Independence Day, Onam, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, and World Photography Day.

Here is a glimpse into the exciting events our tots enjoyed!

Friendship Day

Friendship Day was celebrated virtually with our energetic tots. It was a rainy day, but our tots’ sunshine smiles brightened it up! The little ones had lots of fun as they identified their best friends and tied friendship bands to each other. We saw some blooming friendships that would last a lifetime!

Independence Day

We had a vibrant Independence Day celebration with our chirpy little tots and their enthusiastic parents. Children dressed up as freedom fighters and showed their love and admiration for the country. They exhibited their patriotism by singing patriotic songs and paid tribute to our freedom fighters by saying popular freedom chants. The kids, the future of our nation, also learned about the national flag, national leaders, and national symbols. They also made the national flag and national symbols creatively with their own hands. In a nutshell, it was a colourful and patriotic day!

Raksha Bandhan

On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, our lovely little girls tied rakhi bands embellished with their love and affection, to their brothers. The festival of Raksha Bandhan marks a special bond between siblings. As the tradition goes, sisters tie rakhis around their brothers’ wrists, while the brothers promise to protect them forever. It was a real moment of pride as our tots made rakhis on their own for their adorable brothers. And as with most celebrations, our tots experienced the remarkable joy of receiving and giving gifts!

Janmashtami

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. We had a lot of fun-filled activities on this occasion! Our tots spent time painting clay pots, making flutes out of paper, and crowns with felt feathers. They also dressed up as Krishna and Radha and participated along with their Yashoda ma. It was a divine day with our little Krishnas and Gopikas! Additionally, the tots and educators discussed the importance of the festival. Our tots learned a little more about Krishna through fascinating stories, and sang and danced to melodic songs about Janmashtami.

My FirstCryOi'ites Stories

As a mother, I was confused as to which play school we should choose for my kid. But I am glad we went ahead with FirstCry Pitampura. Before my kid could go to school, lock down happened & then online classes started. Initially, I was concerned about the screen time and whether my boy would sit and learn anything. But to my great experience & surprise, I saw a lot of changes in my kid. He learnt a great deal with the help of online classes and his teachers. The curriculum is with a lot of activities, so kids never get bored and attend the classes. The teachers always made sure that the kids were learning by asking questions in the class, and showed patience, too.

I was very confused to choose a good playschool for my 2.5yr-old child until I found FirstCry Intellitots, Pitampura. They have a well-defined curriculum with lots of activities to involve children and develop their mental growth. The staff is also experienced. I would highly recommend this school to everyone.

Onam:

Onam, the annual harvest festival of Kerala, is another great occasion to expose your child to the cultural diversity of our country while explaining the significance of the festival and celebrating it with pomp. Our tots learned ‘the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ about celebrating this harvest festival from Kerala. They also made Kerala’s famous Onam boat, Leaf Thoram and DIY coconut tree on their own.

World Photography Day:

World Photography Day (also known as World Photo Day) celebrates the art, craft, science, and history of photography. The motive of observing this day was to educate our children about the history of World Photography Day and its significance. With our tiny Intellitots, we created photo frames, handmade cameras, and family trees using pictures. Through these activities, our children could understand the importance of photos as they don’t just form memories; they make a treasure that should be preserved for life!

Home-Schooling Activities:

We also conducted some interesting home-schooling activities this month, such as a virtual tour to Zoo Park, watching the sparkling sky, yoga, painting, collage, and learning the day & night concept, the seasons, the Hindi alphabet, etc.
