Use String lights
Roll them up, turn them into art pieces. Don’t hang them vertically. Give a twist, roll them in circles and hang at varying lengths.
Use glass bangles
Add a bling to your diyas. Convert the bangles into diya holder. Glue the bangles in a stack then place it round the diya.
Use seashells
Pour melted wax into shells and place the wicks into bottom. You can pour oil instead of wax to give the authentic look. When using oil, place a cork at the bottom to keep the shell erect.
Use glass jars
Coat the jar interior with glass paint. Make your design with fabric paint. Fill them with votive candles or tea lights. You can alternatively bunch up string lights inside the jars.
Use terracotta pots
Paint the pots in colors which look appealing to you. Make it vibrant by adding glitters. Finally coat it with varnish to give clear finishing.
If you intend to use any of these as home decor after Diwali, don’t fill it up with wax or oil. Just place votive candle over it or insert tiny LED.
